Q: What is the OtakuCast? Why did you choose that name?
A: The OtakuCast is a podcast (think of an online, pre-recorded radio show) done by the administrators and/or other members of OtakuWorks.com. Originally, we wanted to have a blog (blogs originally were online diaries, but many have become popular with authors simply expressing their views on various things) wherein our views would be displayed, as they would not be fit for the main page of OtakuWorks.com. Seeing how it would be the people behind OtakuWorks, the 'cast of OtakuWorks,' if you will, we thought that OtakuCast would be a good title.
Q: What sorts of things are on this OtakuCast?
A: We attempt to talk about everything from latest anime shows to current events in the world, and insert music to add enjoyment.
Q: I listened to one of these OtakuCasts and all it sounded like was one person talking on and on about stuff I don't really care about. Why aren't there more people?
A: The administrators of OtakuWorks.com are all in different timezones and have rather erratic schedules. Thus, it is quite difficult to arrange a time for 2 or more of us to be online. Even when these times are arranged, topics to discuss aren't readily available.
Q: What if I wanted to come on the show to discuss things?
A: That is definitely possible. contact us.
Q: I heard about something that I think you should talk about. How do I tell you about it?
A: Suggestions are welcome. contact us
Q: I have a really great idea for the OtakuCast! Do you want to hear it?
A: Definitely! We love suggestions, or any sort of feedback. contact us
Q: I think this podcast stuff is pretty cool, how do you do it?
A: We use some fancy shmancy programs to produce the OtakuCast, however all you really need to get started is Audacity, a free audio editing program.
Q: I still have a question about the OtakuCast that wasn't answered here. How can I get an answer?!?!?
A: Questions are welcome, contact us.
