The following are a list of suggested clients and/or codecs that will help you play the backups we provide.

  • Windows: In general, Windows systems come with Windows Media Player, which is great for the average user, but not for these types of files... you will most likely not be able to hear and/or view the file you've downloaded. We suggest downloading the VideoLAN client or, if you're a bit more advanced, a codec pack (links below).
  • MacOS X and Linux: Usually the latest things come standard, but that is sometimes deceptive... as always update according to your needs.
  • Anything else... Dunno... google.com!

Windows

  1. VideoLAN Client <- Highly recommended for a quick playing solution.
  2. Combined Community Codec Pack <- More complicated, but good.
  3. K-Lite Mega Codec Pack
  4. Realplayer <- Needed for RMVB files.

Mac OS X

  1. VideoLAN Client
  2. MPlayer [Client]

Linux

  1. VideoLAN Client
  2. MPlayer [Client]
